Abstract

Satire is a serious analysis of the reality related to contemporary life and is also a medium for its revelation. Good satire is the best form of sympathy. There is an undercurrent of compassion in meaningful satire. The word satire gives two meanings. The meaning of a sarcasm is to move away from Abhidha Lakshna to a consonant sound like - calling a millionaire a Lankapati and saying that today's Lankapatis are worshiped like Ayodhyapatis. The words Lankapati and Ayodhyapati start giving new meaning in this sentence apart from their popular meaning. Then the matter becomes something else. The second meaning of satire is the philosophy of deformity. It highlights our faults, shortcomings and weaknesses. According to Dr. Ramkumar Verma, satire is creating humor by distorting an object with a view to attack. According to Sharad Joshi, until the world improves, this satire will continue to be written.

Abstract in Hindi Language: 

व्यंग्य समकालीन जीवन से जुडे यथार्थ का गंभीर विश्लेषण है और उसके उद्घाटन का माध्यम भी है। अच्छा व्यंग्य सहानुभूति का सबसे उत्कृष्ट रूप होता है। सार्थक व्यंग्य में करुणा की अन्तर्धारा होती है। व्यंग्य शब्द दो अर्थ देता है। एक व्यंग्य का अर्थ है अभिधा लक्षणा से हटकर व्यंजनाध्वनि जैसे - करोड़पति को लंकापति कहते हुए ऐसा कहना कि आज के लंकापति अयोध्या पति की तरह पूजे जाते हैं। लंकापति और अयोध्यापति प्रचलित शब्द अर्थ से हटकर इस वाक्य में नया अर्थ देने लगते हैं। तो बात कुछ और ही बन जाती है। व्यंग्य का दूसरा अर्थ है विरूपता दर्शन यह हमारे दोषों को खामियों को, दुर्बलताओं को उभारकर सामने रखता है। डॉ. रामकुमार वर्मा के अनुसार आक्रमण करने की दृष्टि से वस्तु को विकृत कर उससे हास्य उत्पन्न करना ही व्यंग्य है। शरद जोशी के अनुसार जब तक दुनिया नहीं सँवरती यह व्यंग्य लिखा ही जाता रहेगा।
