In these 74 years, many challenges can be seen in this system like human India's rank in the development index has been 131st in 2021, the situation in poverty and unemployment is also not good. According to the CMIE report, there are 5.3 crore unemployed people in India in 2021 and in the United Nations report on poverty, 25 percent of the population is classified as poor. Shown in the field of health. The situation is very bad in India, the provision of health services is inadequate in proportion to the population (its effect was felt in the second wave of Corona). At the same time, India ranks 85th among 180 countries in corruption, which is shameful for a big democratic nation. The thing is. Due to democratic challenges like these, democracy in India is failing to achieve its highest peak of success. There is a need to make some corrective efforts to take democracy to the highest peak of success.

आज हमारे देश को स्वतन्त्र हुए 76 वर्ष हो गए है साथ ही हमारी लोकतांत्रिक शासन पद्धति को भी आपातकाल के लगभग 2 वर्षों को हटा दे तो 74 वर्षाे हो गये है, इन 74 वर्षों में इस व्यवस्था में कई चुनौतियों को देखा जा सकता है जैसे मानव विकास सूचकांक में भारत का स्थान सन् 2021 में 131 वाॅ रहा है, गरीबी एवं बेरीजगारी में भी हालात ठीक नही है सी0एम0आई0ई0 की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार भारत में 2021 में 5.3 करोड़ बरोजगार है एवं गरीबी पर सयुक्त राष्ट्र संध की रिपोर्ट में 25 आवादी गरीब के रूप में दर्शायी गई है स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्र. में हालात बहुत खराब है जनसंख्या के अनुपात में स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं को व्यवस्था अपर्याप्त है (कोरोना की द्वितीय लहर में इसके प्रभाव को अनुभव किया गया।) वही पर भ्रष्टाचार में 180 देशो में भारत का 85 वां स्थान है जो एक बड़े लोकतांत्रिक राष्ट्र के लिए शर्मनाक बात है। इन्ही जैसे लोकतांत्रिक चुनांतियों के कारण भारत में लोकतंत्र अपनी सफलता के उच्च शिखर को प्राप्त करने में असफल हो रहा है।लोकतंत्र को सफलता के उच्च शिखर पर पहुचाने के लिए कुछ सुधारात्मक प्रयास किए जाने की आवश्यकता है।
