Abstract

Omprakash Valmiki's story holds an important place in Dalit literature. Valmiki's writing presents the pain, struggle and experiences of the Dalit society with authenticity and liveliness. His famous autobiography 'Juthan' exposes the harsh reality of Dalit life, in which he shares his experiences of childhood, education and social oppression. Valmiki's literature not only awakens Dalit consciousness but also raises a strong voice against discrimination and inequality prevalent in the society. His stories advocate social justice, equality and human rights.
