In the modern era, Startup ecosystems are emerging worldwide and entrepreneurship has become a global phenomenon. Startups are growing at a very fast rate compared to the growth rate 10 – 15 years ago. In recent years, the Indian startup ecosystem has succeeded in crafting an ideal position in the global market. They are one of the major drivers of job opportunities and economic growth and thus positively impacting the economy. But these nascent and fledgling startups need a facility which provides continuous nurturing and support. And business incubators are such a facility that is designed to nurture and accelerate the growth of new businesses. To understand more about the startups and to ensure their success, a startup model is imperative. This paper explores about a startup model that explains the success and failure of startups and also discusses the various stages that a startup passes through and the challenges it has to encounter.
