Green HRM: Assessing the Contribution of Employees' Innovative Work Practices to Environmental Sustainability

Green Human Resource Management (Green HRM) has emerged as a critical organizational strategy for promoting environmental sustainability. In an era of increasing environmental challenges, organizations are under pressure to adopt sustainable practices that minimize their ecological footprint. Green Human Resource Management (Green HRM) has emerged as a strategic framework to foster environmental sustainability by integrating eco-friendly policies and encouraging green behaviours among employees. This paper investigates the role of bank employees innovative work practices as a critical mechanism in achieving environmental goals. Drawing on insights from sustainability frameworks and organizational innovation theories, the study examines how Green HRM practices—such as green recruitment, training, and performance management—enhance employees' capacity to innovate in ways that support sustainability initiatives. Through empirical analysis, this paper highlights the synergistic relationship between Green HRM and innovative employee contributions, demonstrating their collective impact on organizational environmental performance. The findings offer practical implications for professionals and policymakers aiming to embed sustainability into organizational culture and strategy.
