Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of Load of Non-Academic activities on Job satisfaction of the Secondary School Teachers in west Bengal. The researchers have used descriptive survey method and taken 401 secondary school teachers as a sample through purposive sampling method in the present study. The researchers have developed two self made questionnaire and used Mean, S.D., t-test for the analysis of data in the present study. The findings of the study revealed that the secondary school teachers working in different secondary school in West Bengal have shown the high level load of Non-Academic Activities. The study also revealed that load of non-academic activities has significant impact on job satisfaction and different dimensions of job satisfaction of the secondary school teachers in West Bengal.

Nepal Paramanik, Research Scholar, Department of Education, Raiganj University, Raiganj, Uttar Dinajpur

Mr. Nepal Paramanik is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education of Rani Dhanya Kumari College, Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal India. Before joining this College, he served as an Assistant Teacher at Nonadanga Ozifa Vidyaprathisthan High School, Murshidabad, W.B. from July 2019 to December 2020. He has been pursuing Ph.D. in Education in the Department of Education, Raiganj University, Raiganj, Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal, India. Mr. Paramanik has published many articles in various reputed National & International Journals and Edited books. He has presented many research papers in National and International Seminars and Conferences. Mr. Paramanik has published reference book, ‘Shikshamulok Samajbigyan (Educational Sociology)’ for UG & PG levels students. 

Dr. Pranab Barman, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Raiganj University, Raiganj, Uttar Dinajpur

Dr. Pranab Barman is presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education of Raiganj University, Raiganj, Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal, India. Before joining this University, he has been served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, Purulia, W.B. India from January, 2013 to February, 2020. He has been awarded Ph.D. in Education in 2018 by the University of Kalyani. His research interests are focused on professional problems and issues of teachers, current social and psychological problems, modern technological advancements and changing paradigm of education system etc.  Dr. Barman has published more than 40 research articles in various reputed National & International Journals and Edited Books. He has presented many research papers in National and International Seminars and Conferences. He has edited many books entitled ‘Higher Education in India: An Overview’; ‘Social Media: Leisure, Health and Education’; ‘Modern Technology and Education’; and ‘Education in the Transforming World’. Along with these publications, Dr. Barman has also published many text and reference books for different level students.  ‘Uchhamadhyamik Shikshabigyaner Ruparekha’; ‘Shikhan Sampad O Sreni Byabasthapana’ (Learning Resource and Classroom Management); and ‘Shikshamulok Samajbigyan (Educational Sociology)’ are the few books authored by Dr. Barman.
