Abstract

This study analyzes the factors influencing the adoption of circular economy (CE) models in the food industry in Vietnam. Although the food business is vital to economic growth and food security, it also makes a substantial contribution to environmental problems like greenhouse gas emissions and pollution from food waste. The main objective of this article is to evaluate the factors that encourage and hinder the adoption of CE, especially in small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). In particular, technology, government support, social community factors and organizational context are proven to have a significant impact on CE adoption behavior. To conclude, the report also suggests several improvement initiatives, such as increasing awareness, strengthening governmental regulations, and utilizing technical improvements to support a more sustainable transition to CE in Vietnam in the future.
