The World Health Organization (WHO) recognizes suicide as a critical global public health issue. This study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of CPR (Mental Health First Aid) E-Learning in suicide prevention and its impact on enhancing learning outcomes among nursing students. Methods: A true experimental pre-test and post-test design was employed in this study. A total of 100 third-year B.Sc. (Nursing) students were selected through total enumerative sampling. The participants were randomly assigned to either an intervention group (n = 50) or a control group (n = 50) using the odd-even method. Data collection involved the use of a background characteristics proforma, a structured knowledge questionnaire on suicide prevention, and a confidence rating scale to assess the participants' ability to manage clients with suicidal thoughts. Results: The pre-test results revealed no significant difference in knowledge scores between the control group (M = 13.34, SD = 3.14) and the intervention group (M = 14.62, SD = 2.26). However, post-test scores showed a significant improvement in the intervention group's knowledge (M = 16.92, SD = 2.65) compared to the control group (M = 14.24, SD = 2.81), with a p-value < 0.001. Confidence scores followed a similar pattern. Pre-test confidence scores showed no significant difference between the control group (M = 13.90, SD = 1.78) and the intervention group (M = 14.28, SD = 1.90). Post-test confidence scores for the intervention group (M = 16.10, SD = 2.01) were significantly higher than those for the control group (M = 14.16, SD = 2.21), with a p-value < 0.001. These results highlight the effectiveness of CPR (Mental Health First Aid) E-Learning in improving both knowledge and confidence in suicide prevention. Conclusion: The findings underscore the effectiveness of CPR (Mental Health First Aid) E-Learning in improving both knowledge and confidence in suicide prevention among nursing students. Nurses play a crucial role in national suicide prevention initiatives, contributing to a more prepared and resilient healthcare workforce capable of effectively addressing mental health crises.
