Changes in the population structure is an inevitable phenomenon that every country has to face. The youth population structure plays pivotal role in shaping the future of a country’s prosperity. It becomes extremely crucial to understand and be ready to face the challenges that may arise out of the dynamic youth population structure. This paper aims to review the youth population in India, analyze the future projections and preempt the future market attractiveness. The study reveals that the Indian population is aging and the median age of the country is on a rise. A shift of focus from India to African countries is likely after a couple of decades and alternative developmental plans would be a necessity to keep India on the track and be among the top few frontiers of market attractiveness.
