Abstract

Digital transformation and building smart universities are current trends that Vietnamese universities are pursuing and promise to be a big step forward for the country's education. However, up to now, building and developing smart universities is still a new concept and has not been applied in many universities in Vietnam, but in developed countries, smart education systems This has become more popular and achieved great success in many fields. Based on the synthesis and development of domestic and foreign research and articles, analyzes on Smart Universities were selected such as studies or articles on Smart Universities in the US, UK, Vietnam, etc..., this article was written to focus on analyzing the current situation of smart education in general and in Vietnam in particular. The article aims to provide the most general overview of the smart university model and the current situation in the world and Vietnam, along with analyzing the impact of the transition process on related objects.  Thereby, the article proposes some proposed solutions to help this smart university model develop and be more easily accessible in Vietnamese universities in the future.

Author Biographies

Thanh Hoa Thi Phan, Lecturer, Faculty of Business Administration, National Economics University

Phan Thi Thanh Hoa, the author received a PhD in Business Administration from the National Economics University. The author also received a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the National Economics University. The author works as a lecturer in the Faculty of Business Administration, Department of General Business Administration. The author also has many articles published domestically and internationally, in famous magazines such as Vietnam Development Economics Magazine, Asia-Pacific Economic Review, Vietnam Industry, and Trade Magazine, etc.

Ngoc Quang Dong, Student of Business Administration Department, National Economics University

Dong Ngoc Quang, the author is currently in my senior year at National Economics University as a Faculty of Business Administration student. The author has also researched Personalized Learning in the field of education in Vietnam and has published several international articles such as Personalization of learning, the current situation, and proposed.

Mai Linh Hoang Nguyen, Student of Business Administration Department, National Economics University

Nguyen Hoang Mai Linh, the author is currently a third-year student at the Faculty of Business Administration, National Economics University.

Vuong Le Quang, the author is currently a senior student at the National Economics University, majoring in Finance and Banking, in Advanced Educational Programs. The author is also a co-author who has appeared on several papers at the ICFAA conference (The International Conference on Finance, Accounting, and Auditing), which is part of a series of successful conferences on Finance, Accounting, and Auditing organized by the National Economics University (NEU, Vietnam) in collaboration with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW, UK) and Cardiff Metropolitan University (UK). Some typical topics mentioned include “Digital Currency: Status Quo and Recommendation in Vietnam”, and “Derivatives Financial Services - Perspective from Tax Policy in Vietnam”.
