Abstract

The main objective of this study was to study the social maturity of male and female students in Palanpur district and to study the social maturity of students Percent above 75% and below. This study included 200 students from different schools of Palanpur district. Research Design: A 2 X 2 factorial design was used in this research. Dr. Roma Pal (1986) established the Omnibus Social Maturity Scale (ACSSM). The scale has 50 items, and the reliability coefficients were estimated as 0.834 and 0.793, respectively. In conclusion, gender does not inherently affect social maturity, but academic performance, especially among female students, does. While academic success has no influence on social maturity of males, females percent above 75% show significantly more social maturity. This suggests that for female students, academic excellence and social maturity are closely intertwined.
