In this investigation, we report our work on weakly ferromagnetic maultiferroic-nano ceramics powder of orthoferrites La1-xGdxFeO3 (x = 0.0, 0.1 and 0.2). The phase purity and symmetry of the La1-xGdxFeO3 material are confirmed by X-ray diffraction, FESEM and TEM measurements. XRD pattern confirm an orthorhombic crystal structure with Pnma space group for the prepared powder samples. After annealing at 500 °C in air for 2 h, the crystallite size grown to an average 45 nm and the diffraction peaks became sharpened. The effects of the synthesis process and the atomic doping on the crystal structure and the magnetic properties are also studied. All synthesized powders show the presence of weak ferromagnetic behaviour. In particular, an increase in the maximum magnetization is observed across all compositions, and it reached to a maximum value at 19.7 emu/g for La0.8Gd0.2FeO3.
